Men’s 15km Cross Country winner Jakob Bauer from Czech Republic told that the race was hard due to weather conditions.

- The track was very soft, so it made the race quite difficult.

Bauer’s tactics was to hit hard from the beginning and he succeeded.

- I tried to take maximum speed from the start and it was then easy to ski with a 20 second lead in the third lap.

Germany’s Rene Sommerfeldt, who came in second didn’t want to start the race too hard.

- I didn’t want to go too fast in the beginning, and tried to pick up the pace in the second and third lap. There was somebody skiing behind me and I tried to leave him behind because I don’t like when somebody is hanging just behind me, smiles Sommerfeldt.

Kazakstan’s SergeiTsherepanov was very happy from his third place.

- The race and especially the climbs very hard for me, luckily my glide was very good on the downhills, says the young Kazakstanian.
