Jumping with and without skies
Janne Ahonen Farewell Competition contains also jumping without skies!
Lahti by Summer night event starts 17.30 at cross country stadium with Janne and his friends. Ski jumpers will have their own competition in speedless long jump. Janne has promised that he can still reach 3 meters although he hasn´t been practising since spring.

2013 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will be held in
Val Di Fiemme, ITALY
Lahti will now look forward to next possibility, 2015.
Host for the 2013 Nordic World Ski Championships will be decided 29th of May
Lahti 2013 Candidature for Nordic World Ski Championships is close to it´s climate. FIS Council will decide the host for 2013 in Cape Town (RSA) on the 29th of May.

Tommi Nikunen named as new executive general of Lahti Ski Club
The board of Lahti Ski Club has named Tommi Nikunen as new executive general of Lahti Ski Club. Nikunen will start in his new position 1st of July 2008.
Lahti Ski Clubs present executive general Matti Haapoja, will retire (part-time) 1st of August 2008. Haapoja continues as executive general of Finlandia Ski Marathon.
